Your donation will help us in many ways. For instance, realizing the building, for education and for young women:

Building

The NVC School Rusinga is a novelty: sustainable buildings in Kenya are rare, even though it is an answer to many problems: climate change, high costs, water and energy scarcity, and so forth. That is why we are so motivated to invest in this change and to profit from this occasion to develop knowledge together with the local community on how to construct in a sustainable and self-supportive way.

Education

Kenyan youngsters have little money to pay school fees. In order to be able to welcome every student, no matter their financial basis, we need funds for the teacher's salaries, school equipment, and further training for the teachers.

Young Women

In order to be able to offer young women from Rusinga a safe place where they can shelter from aggression and exclusion, we need to house and feed them and offer them education and healthcare.

What has been realized so far?

  • The land for the school has been bought and a solid fence has been put around it.
  • The toilets are installed and the water supply is in preparation.
  • Training the future teachers in Nonviolent Communication has started.

What are the next goals?

  • Designing the school in a sustainable way with the support of architects, engineers, and other professionals
  • Purchasing the building materials
  • Building the school
  • Purchasing study material
  • Announcing the opening of the school
  • Hiring staff ...... and many more

Give The Gift of Education

A sustainable school
A school system based on respect and equality
A safe space for youngsters, especially pregnant teenagers
A surrounding community that profits from the social change
